Am I the Ho?: Flo Milli Album Review (2024)

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t the biggest Flo Milli fan before this album. I only knew a few of her songs like Beef FloMix freestyle, her feature on Lah Pats’s Rodeo (Remix) , and of course her viral hit Never Lose Me. On March 15, 2024 Flo Milli dropped  Fine Ho, Stay to follow up 2020’s Ho, Why is You Here? and 2022’s You Still Here, Ho? After first listen to Fine Ho Stay, I now know that I am the ho she’s been speaking of. I have definitely been sleeping on Flo.

This rap album showed some versatility that I haven’t seen a lot of from Flo Milli– or many artists in general. We got southern sound, iron clad bars, sexy melodic tunes, and a twerk song. I’m usually not the biggest fan of rappers singing but she executed on several tracks.

The record starts with a heavy hitting track with all the verbal gymnastics and braggadocio to give you that confidence boost for Women’s Month.

Tell me What You Want is the most unique song on the album. I can hear some notes taken from Missy Elliott, and can definitely see a pop crossover in Flo Milli’s future.

This album spotlights new school artists: Monaleo and Anycia, offering deeper, and breathy tones to contrast with Flo’s signature sound. Anycia is having a moment right now so it’s exciting that this collab is a part of her ascent. And Gunna comes sound unlike we usually hear from him.

Featured as well is a remix to Never Lose Me, with heavyweight, Grammy award winning artists, Sza and Cardi B.

My favorite songs on the album are Edible and New Me.

“Tryna shoot the club up with a canon he’s incredible”

This might be a stretch, but the overall vibe I got from this project (if not from Flo Milli herself) is confidence and holding high standards. We should all take notes from Flo Milli and hold people accountable and start looking down on things people do things that are not P.
